Nigerian Air Force (NAF) 202 Academic Session Examination Centre Portal 2025/2026 | Step by step Guide to Application Process

The admission process for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Examination Centre Portal, specifically for entry into NAF secondary schools like the Air Force Military School (AFMS) in Jos or other comprehensive/secondary schools, follows a structured procedure.

Here's how it typically works based on the standard process for the 2024/2025 academic session, which can serve as a guide for what to expect in 2025:

Eligibility Check:

Candidates must be Nigerian citizens, typically aged between 11 and 13 years by the admission year (e.g., September 2025 for the 2025/2026 session).

They need to have completed Primary Six and be medically fit to attend school.

Purchase of Entrance Exam Form:

When admission applications open (usually announced on www.nafec.org.ng), you purchase a scratch card or access code, often costing around N1,500. These are available at NAF bases, schools, or designated locations like the Directorate of Education in Abuja.

For 2024/2025, sales started earlier in the year, so for 2025/2026, expect a similar timeline, possibly late 2024 or early 2025—check the portal for exact dates.

Online Application:

Visit www.nafec.org.ng, create an account or log in, and fill out the admission form online.

You’ll select your preferred school, exam date, and venue during this step. Required details include personal information, academic records, and sometimes a passport photo or other documents.

Entrance Examination:

After submitting the form, candidates sit for a written entrance exam. For 2024/2025, exams for AFMS/AFGMS Jos were scheduled around May, with other secondary schools following shortly after.

The exam tests basic subjects like English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge, though specifics can vary by school.

Interview for Shortlisted Candidates:

Successful exam candidates receive invitation letters for written and oral interviews. This step assesses aptitude, communication skills, and suitability further.

For 2024/2025, these occurred after results were released, typically in June or July.

Admission Notification:

Final admission lists are published on www.nafec.org.ng and at NAF schools. Successful candidates receive admission letters detailing material requirements (e.g., uniforms, books).

In 2024, letters were available from September 5, with resumption dates of September 14 for boarding schools and September 16 for day schools.

Resumption:

Admitted students report to their assigned schools on the specified date to begin the academic session.

Key Notes for 2025:

As of today, February 27, 2025, the 2025/2026 admission cycle hasn’t been officially announced. Historically, forms go on sale around March-April, with exams in May-June, but this can shift. Monitor www.nafec.org.ng for the latest updates.

The process is open to all Nigerian children, not just dependents of NAF personnel, ensuring broad access across all states and the FCT.

For assistance, the portal provides a hotline (09063445282).

If you’re preparing for this, ensure you have your child’s birth certificate, primary school records, and medical fitness proof ready.
