YouThrive by Access Bank Cohort 3 program

The YouThrive by Access Bank Cohort 3 program is part of an ongoing initiative by Access Bank, in collaboration with the Nigerian Federal Government, aimed at empowering young Nigerians and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). 

Launched as a transformative effort to uplift the next generation of entrepreneurs, the program focuses on providing capacity development, financial empowerment, and business exchange opportunities.

For Cohort 3, there’s a specific emphasis on a Tech Scholarship tailored for Nigerians, as highlighted in recent announcements. 

This aligns with the broader YouThrive mission to impact over 4 million individuals over four years by equipping them with practical skills, funding, and employment opportunities. The program targets youth aged 21 to 40 and includes key pillars such as:

1. Capacity Development: Offering training in tech, entrepreneurship, and employability skills.
2. Access to Funding: Providing grants and discounted loans (backed by a N50 billion fund) to eligible participants who complete the training.
3. Business Exchange: Sponsoring exceptional entrepreneurs for international programs in countries like the Netherlands, China, or India.
4. Employment Opportunities: Connecting participants to jobs within the tech sector, Access Corporation ecosystem, and partner companies.

Additional benefits include cost-effective business accounts (like DBA Lite), CAC business registration support, legal advisory services, and export guidance. The program has already aimed to empower over 700,000 MSMEs annually with financial and skill-building resources since its inception.
