This Landmark initiative under the NIYEEDEP, is designed to improve youth economic engagement, aid young people in agric related ventures and promote the actualization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's food security agenda.

The Programme seeks to create 6 million direct jobs in 2025 within the agric related sector of the economy, contributing to household poverty alleviation, food security, mass employment generation, youth deradicalization and national stability

The “Nigerian Youth Economic Engagement and De-Radicalization Programme (NIYEEDEP)” is a pro-youth economic self-emancipation empowerment initiative whose aim is to facilitate and provide adequate economic engagement of youths for active economic participation, nation-building, economic development, de-radicalization and national security.

Mission. Our mission is to mitigate youth unemployment, grow Nigeria’s economy and alleviate household poverty by helping youths to access the business financing, enterprise development services and other basic economic incentives and empowerment platforms needed to transform themselves into entrepreneurs, job creators, income earners and builders of wealth, using MSMEs as channels, while becoming the change agents and catalysts for crime reduction, economic development, national security and household poverty alleviation.

Why NIYEEDEP was formed:

The “Nigerian Economic Engagement and De-Radicalization Programme (NIYEEDEP)” was formed out of the existing need to squarely address Nigeria’s overwhelming problems of high youth unemployment, youth economic underutilization, youth poverty and their consequences of low economic development, household poverty, radicalization and insecurity.

To register for the NIYEEDEP initiative, begin by visiting the official portal at niyeedep.org. On the site, you’ll find a registration section (below this message) where you can create your account. To do so, provide a valid email address, choose a unique username, and set a strong password that is at least 8 characters long, incorporating uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for added security.

Once you submit your details, a verification email will be sent to the address you provided. Be sure to check your inbox for this email, and if you don’t see it right away, check your spam or junk folder. Click the link in the email to activate your account and confirm your registration.

After activating your account, log in and proceed to fill out your personal information. You will be required to provide a Lotus Bank Account number.  

If you do not already have one, you can open an account by visiting. ibank.lotusbank.com/account/bvn. Follow the prompts carefully and complete the steps until you receive your account number. Double-check all entries before submission, as any mistakes or inaccuracies could disqualify you from participating in the initiative. Additionally, once you submit your profile information, you will not be able to edit it again.
