The 29 retired infantry officers included 19 Major Generals and 10 Brigadiers General, led by Maj.-Gen. Victor Ezugwu, who spoke on behalf of the retirees. With a combined service of 30-38 years, these officers have dedicated their lives to serving the nation.

Maj.-Gen. Ezugwu encouraged their successors to build upon the achievements made and surpass them. Donation and Appreciation:

Ezugwu announced a donation of 200 books and encyclopedias to the Infantry Corps Centre and Nigerian Army School of Infantry libraries, promoting training and capacity development. He also presented N1 million to purchase more Corps-related books. The retirees expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, and the Commander Infantry Corps, Maj.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, for organizing the memorable pull-out parade.
