The federal government has resolved the technical problems associated with uploading National Identification Numbers (NIN) for participants in the Presidential Conditional Grant Programme, also known as the Trade Grant Scheme. This initiative targets nano businesses and provides them with much-needed support in the form of a grant of N50,000.00 per beneficiary. The aim is to assist one million nano businesses across the 774 local government areas.
Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Minister of Trade and Investment, confirmed that the scheme, originally scheduled to commence on March 9, 2024, faced delays due to technical difficulties in uploading applicants' NINs to the initiative's portal. However, she recently announced that all technical issues have been resolved, expressing gratitude to the applicants for their patience.
"Attention, applicants of the Presidential Conditional Grant Programme: We're pleased to announce that the technical issues regarding uploading your NIN have now been resolved. You can now proceed with your application process smoothly. Thank you for your patience," stated Minister Uzoka-Anite.
This resolution marks a significant milestone, ensuring a smoother application process and facilitating the distribution of much-needed financial aid to nano businesses across the nation.
