What is the Y'ellopreneur Initiative?

The Y'ellopreneur Initiative focuses on two key areas: capacity building and access to capital.

• Capacity Building: The program offers training in the fundamentals of business management and development. This equips participants with the knowledge and skills they need to run their businesses effectively.
• Access to Capital: The initiative provides equipment loans of up to N2 million to qualified entrepreneurs. Additionally, upon full repayment of the loan, participants receive a 25% grant!

Who can Apply?

The Y'ellopreneur Initiative is open to female entrepreneurs across Nigeria who meet the following criteria:

• Passionate and committed to self-employment
• Running an existing business for two years or more
• Operating in sectors like circular economy, manufacturing, processing, agriculture, ICT/digital services, or waste management
• Source raw materials locally

A Successful Pilot Program

The MTN Foundation launched a pilot phase of the Y'ellopreneur Initiative in 2022. In this phase, over 4,700 female entrepreneurs received training in business management. Additionally, 50 entrepreneurs received equipment loans totaling over N94 million!
