The Police Service Commission (PSC), responsible for overseeing the recruitment, has officially disowned the circulating examination dates on social media, labeling them as fake and misleading. Exam Requirements:
The examination, a computer-based aptitude test conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), will assess candidates on general knowledge, numerical ability, verbal reasoning, and current affairs. To qualify, candidates must have completed the online application, physical and credential screening, and possess a valid national identity card. Additionally, they need the printouts of their application confirmation slip and examination slip, along with arriving at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Subsequent Recruitment Stages:
Candidates who successfully pass the examination will progress to the following stages of the recruitment process:
1. Medical Examination: A comprehensive assessment of physical and mental fitness, including tests for vision, hearing, blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV, hepatitis, and other diseases. This stage also includes drug and pregnancy tests for female candidates.
2. Final Selection: Based on performance in the examination, qualifications, state of origin, and adherence to the federal character principle, final selections will be approved and published on the PSC's official platforms.
3. Training: Selected candidates will undergo a rigorous six-month training program covering theoretical and practical aspects of policing at Police Colleges and Training Schools nationwide.
