Role of the M&E Intern
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern plays a crucial role in supporting project management and implementation at the state level. Here are the key responsibilities:
Collaboration with State Specialists:
- The M&E Intern works closely with State Specialists (PSM, CM, &/ M&E) and project partners.
- Assists in providing oversight to LGA-level routine activities, including data validation meetings, data entry, supply chain management, and training.
Project Efficiency and Oversight:
- Assists the State Specialist in ensuring efficient project functioning.
- Provides oversight of all project activities.
- Manages logistic processes related to project procurements and documentation.
Timely Implementation:
- Supports the State Specialist in ensuring timely and effective implementation of technical activities under the project.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- 1 year or less of experience in Public Health and health systems strengthening.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level colleagues, stakeholders, and donors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
- Training development and facilitation skills.
- Programme management skills.
