In recent developments, the Federal Government aims to address economic challenges by rolling out relief measures targeting 15 million households. Wale Edun, Nigeria's Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, disclosed the government's efforts during an interview on Channels Television.

With the removal of fuel subsidies and the surge in foreign exchange rates, the cost of living has become increasingly burdensome for Nigerian families. To mitigate this, the government is implementing intervention programs designed to provide direct assistance to households.

Under the revamped initiatives, each of the 15 million households will receive N75,000 over a three-month period, amounting to N25,000 monthly per household. Additionally, the government plans to stimulate productivity by offering grants of N50,000 to artisans, traders, women, and youth to initiate nano businesses. Digital verification procedures will be employed to reach a minimum of 1000 beneficiaries in each of the 774 local government areas, with a total allocation of N50 billion.
