Exciting Updates on the 3MTT Program: New Fellows Announcement, Job Placements, and More!

The first phase of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program is drawing to a close, and we're excited to share some amazing progress updates!

Get Ready for Phase 2: Mark your calendars! On Thursday, February 29th, they be announcing the fellows selected for the second phase of the program. Training is projected to begin in March, so fasten your seatbelts for another round of tech talent development!

First Cohort Thrives:  "Our initial group of fellows has been diligently mastering diverse skills across 12 focus areas. We've received fantastic feedback on the training programs, and their initial prototype projects have provided valuable insights. This information will be used to refine the experience for both future fellows and the 121 training providers involved nationwide". The minister of communication, Innovation and Digital economy 

Scaling Up: The Minister said "We're energized by the growing support from partners and stakeholders as we prepare to train an additional 270,000 fellows over the next 18 months. By 2027, our goal is to equip 3 million Nigerians with the technical skills they need to succeed in the digital economy".

Connecting Talent to Opportunity: As our first cohort graduates, we're busy finalizing job placements for them. Over 1,400 organizations have expressed interest in hiring, and the first wave of placements will be announced soon. This connection to "decent jobs" is a cornerstone of the program's mission.
