In 2021, the Foundation disbursed an impressive $24.75 million to 5,000 African entrepreneurs, making it one of the largest private sector responses to the economic challenges faced by African youth, women, and SMEs in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The testimonials of past beneficiaries, such as Paul Depooter Kabeya, Freddie Shava, and Mechi Amaah, attest to the transformative power of the programme.
Looking ahead, the Tony Elumelu Foundation is set to enhance its commitment with the Coalition for African Entrepreneurs, aiming to support 100,000 young African entrepreneurs, including 50,000 women, by 2033.
