In a recent development, the Federal Government (FG) has affirmed its commitment to disbursing nine months' worth of stipends to beneficiaries of the N-Power program upon the completion of the ongoing restructuring phase. Batches B and C beneficiaries, affiliated with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), have been vocal in demanding their unpaid stipends.

Under the National Social Investment Programmes (NASIMS), the FG clarified that the delay in N-Power arrears payment is a result of the comprehensive restructuring process initiated by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, led by Betta Edu. NASIMS conveyed the update via its official Facebook page, stating, "Payment of outstanding N-Power 9 months stipends will be initiated upon conclusion of the ongoing restructuring and repositioning." This announcement was made on November 28, 2023. The temporary suspension of the program allowed for a forensic audit, leading to the recovery of funds from existing payment service providers.

The N-Power program is set to continue as the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme, overseen by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs. Minister Betta Edu reassured the public that backlog glitches associated with the N-Power scheme are actively being addressed.
