The Key Features Of The Monetization Feature You Should Know Include:

You can now see article income data daily
You can see your monthly revenue data
Revenue Data for every article will be calculated and updated every 72-hours

The Interface:

1. When is the revenue data updated?

Revenue data is updated every 72 hours at 12:00 pm (When encountering technical problems, the revenue display may be delayed until the next day). This means your total revenue for Monday will become available on Wednesday.

2. What kind of articles can be paid?

Articles with “Published” status

3. Is it possible for my total revenue to change at the end of the month?

Yes. At the end of every month, if an article is determined to be in violation of publishing policy and is removed from the platform, its earnings will be deducted. On the other end, earnings from wrongly rejected articles will also be added to your total revenue. This will lead to an adjustment in your total revenue.

Definition of core indicators

1. Total Estimated Revenue

Shows author's historical total revenue (The start date of statistics is the 1st day of the month when the monetization function is launched)

E.g., if the monetization function is launched on October 9th, 2023, the function will display all the revenues from October 1st to 7th, 2023.

2. Monthly Estimated Revenue

Shows author's revenue in the current month.

3. Monthly Monetized Articles

Shows the number of articles that the author will receive payment for in the current month.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can I see whether my last month's revenue has been paid?

You can see your last three months' revenue on the function. The payment status will be displayed on the future version.

2. Will my updated earnings appear everyday on the monetization function?

It will be updated daily, and will therefore appear daily.

3. Why not show earnings per article on the monetization function?

That is how the function is set up, we created the option so that the writer is able to see their earnings, unfortunately it doesn't show earnings per article per day. The function shows the daily revenues, not the revenues of articles published in the day. The revenue of an article will last for several days. Therefore, the earnings of an article will be distributed in the revenues of a few days

4. I counted my clicks from the beginning of the month till yesterday and the revenue is not the same as the one on the system.

Please don't try to calculate the revenue yourself, you will never get accurate results. There are many elements that can affect your revenue, for example article performance, reading time, quality, original etc.

5. If the article does not reach 1000 clicks it will not be counted for monetization?

The system counts every click, even if there is only 1 click.

6. How can I expect my revenue to increase?

First, make sure that you can write enough articles every month. Generally, the number of articles per month for TOP authors on the platform is more than 100 articles.

Second, make sure your articles are high-quality, original and attractive to readers, then your articles will attract too many engagements and long reading time from readers, and your revenue will be increased.

6..Why is it that estimated value does not change once it has appeared on the monetization feature, even though clicks continue rising?  Does the article not get counted if my article yesterday is still getting more clicks?

This function shows daily revenues, not revenues from articles published that day. The system will count all the revenue of all articles on the day. Therefore these revenues are fixed. If on the second day, the articles published yesterday continue to receive revenue, these revenue will be included in the revenue of the next day.

7. Why is it that estimated value does not change once it has appeared on the monetization feature, even though clicks continue rising?  Does the article not get counted if my yesterday article is still getting more clicks?

This function shows daily revenues, not revenues from articles published that day. The system will count all the revenue of all articles on the day. Therefore these revenues are fixed. If on the second day, the articles published yesterday continue to receive revenue, these revenue will be included in the revenue of the next day.

For example:

If an article is written on 10th Aug, and earns 500 Naira on 10th Aug, 300 Naira on 11th Aug and 100 Naira on 12th Aug.

Then the 500 Naira will be displayed on the revenue of 10th Aug, the 300 Naira will be displayed on the revenue of 11th Aug, and the 100 Naira will be displayed on the revenue of 12th Aug. One article revenue will be distributed on several days’ revenue.

These rules and regulations will take effect from October 9 2023.
