Protection Officer Job Opportunity at Malteser International
Malteser International is looking for a motivated Protection Officer to join their team in Maiduguri, Jere, and Konduga LGAs of Borno State, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Social Sciences or a related field with a minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience in the Protection sector, including at least one year in a supervisory role. They should also have strong technical knowledge in general protection and GBV programming, including protection monitoring, case management, and psychosocial support activities.
The Protection Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Ensuring that GBV survivors and those at risk of GBV are identified and receive individual support
- Managing, providing training, and building the capacity of the full case management team
- Documenting all GBV cases and other related activities well and establishing a good filing system
- Contributing to regular internal and external donor reporting
This is a full-time position with a start date of November 2023. The duty station is Maiduguri, with frequent travels to field locations. The contract duration is 2 months with the possibility of extension.
