Responsibilities
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing MEAL systems and processes for TAF Africa's programs. This includes:
- Developing and adopting all relevant MEAL frameworks
- Overseeing all research and development functions
- Developing MEAL tools for measuring and reporting indicator performance
- Providing technical support in developing baseline surveys, assessments, and studies
- Contributing to updating the log-frame and results against program indicators
- Ensuring that program implementation maintains the standards of TAF's quality and consistency
- Managing the data collection process for key program deliverables
- Ensuring that all projects have MEAL plans and adequate budgetary provision
- Developing and updating tools for data collection, analysis, and processing
- Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and drafting and reporting on the results
- Monitoring and reporting on any anticipated project concerns, risks, emerging opportunities, or threats to project implementation
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in social science or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in MEAL. Strong ICT skills, data collection, analysis, and presentation skills, communication and report-writing skills, and interpersonal skills are also essential.
