Job Overview:

As a Communications Officer at WEWE, you will play a crucial role in sharing there impactful work with the world. Here's an overview of your key responsibilities:

Compelling Storytelling: Identify and share project successes through engaging formats like case studies and short documentaries, highlighting the positive influence WEWE has on the community.
Digital Presence Management: Manage and update WEWE’s website, social media platforms, and blogs, ensuring our online presence remains lively and current.
Media Interaction: Actively connect with mainstream media, both electronic and print, to boost WEWE’s visibility and showcase the significant outcomes of our projects.
Document Editing and Design: Edit technical documents and articles for accuracy and clarity. Also, handle desktop design and layout of technical documents in line with donor branding requirements.
Online Campaign Development: Lead the creation of online communication campaigns using social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. These campaigns will be pivotal in fundraising efforts to support our cause.
Administrative Support: Coordinate team meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes as needed, ensuring the team operates smoothly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in English, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Journalism, or related fields.
Completed NYSC (or exemption letter) with a First or Second Class Upper Division (2.1).
Additional communication certifications are advantageous.

Please note: WEWE Volunteers do not receive salaries and employee benefits. However, a daily rate of N4,000 will be provided to cover transportation costs to and from the office, subject to statutory deductions.
