According to reports from Sunday Punch, the government, led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, plans to channel this loan towards aiding 15 million families across the country. Under this initiative, low-income earners can expect a monthly allowance of N25,000, a much-needed assistance in these challenging times. The distribution is set to take place over the next three months, from October to December, providing vital support during this period.

The implementation of this program is scheduled to take a significant step forward on October 17, 2023, with the official launch of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Program. The program, under the guidance of the Minister of Mercy and Immigration, Dr. Edu, aims to reach communities far and wide, ensuring that assistance is provided where it is needed the most.

One noteworthy aspect of the CCT Program is its inclusivity. It has been designed to accommodate individuals who might not have a Bank Verification Number (BVN). Even if you lack a BVN, as long as you possess a valid identification number, you are eligible to benefit from this initiative. Additionally, for those requiring replacements in the registration process, a nominal fee of 1k is charged to facilitate the entry of names into the program.

To streamline the disbursement process, the government plans to open wallet accounts for beneficiaries. For those with a BVN, this number will serve as the key to depositing the allocated funds.
