Africa Prime Funding Grant scam: Beware!
In recent times, many people have been contacting us to inquire about the legitimacy of the Africa Prime Funding Grant. Here is how the scam works:
- You apply for the grant on the Africa Prime Funding website.
- You receive an email from Africa Prime Funding congratulating you on being awarded the grant. The email will also contain instructions on how to open an international bank account with one of the banks suggested by Africa Prime Funding.
- You will receive an invoice from Africa Prime Funding containing a huge amount of money. This is to motivate you to fall into the scam.
- After you open the bank account, the bank will ask you to deposit at least $10 (approximately 9950 Naira) before you can receive your grant.
- Once you deposit the money, you will never receive your grant. In fact, the scammers will likely ask you to deposit more money, claiming that there are additional fees that need to be paid.
Here are some red flags to watch out for:
- You are asked to pay money to receive a grant. Legitimate grants will never ask you to pay money upfront.
- You are asked to open an international bank account. This is not necessary for receiving a grant.
If you have been contacted by Africa Prime Funding, please do not fall for their scam. Do not open an international bank account or deposit any money into the bank account that they provide.
If you have already fallen for the scam, you should report it to your bank and to the police. You should also contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to file a complaint.

they are scammer i lost $50 to them and still asked me #41000 for withdrawal fee code this is where i now know they are scammers. one guy lost $200 to them paid for account opening fee,withdrawal fee code and atm card not receive any grant. kindly help us share this to people and efcc or police. thank you
ReplyDeleteAfrican Prime Grants sent me message of grant approval but I didn't fall into it. Thanks for this post. We need to report their website to the hosting company for scam.
