WAEC Withholds Results of Candidates from States Owing the Council
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it will not release the results of the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) of candidates sponsored by state governments that are indebted to the Council.
This decision was made following a meeting of the WAEC Governing Board on August 2, 2023. The Board expressed its concern over the huge debt owed to WAEC by state governments, which currently stands at over N1 billion.
