UNDP is hiring a Project Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is looking for a Project Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation to join its team in Borno State, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, as well as a degree in business, public administration, economics, or a related field.

The Project Associate M&E will work closely with the Programme and Partnership Support Team, Program Units, Project teams, and Operations Unit to support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, policies, and strategies for the RSC unit projects and other projects. They will also consolidate reports from PBF/RSC partner agencies, assist with the effective management of audits and risks, and provide administrative support to feed balanced scorecards and reports.

In addition to their technical skills, the Project Associate M&E will also be responsible for promoting gender equality and women's empowerment within all implementations. They will work to ensure that UNDP's mandate as a gender-responsive organization is met, with zero tolerance for any kind of discriminatory or abusive behavior.

Here are some of the key responsibilities of the Project Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, policies, and strategies for the RSC unit projects and other projects.
  • Consolidate reports from PBF/RSC partner agencies.
  • Assist with the effective management of audits and risks.
  • Provide administrative support to feed balanced scorecards and reports.
  • Support facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing.
  • Support programme and projects formulation and implementation.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Degree in business, public administration, economics, monitoring and evaluation, political sciences, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment.
