Save the Children is Hiring a Women Economic Empowerment Officer
Save the Children is a leading international non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of children around the world. The organization is currently hiring a Women Economic Empowerment Officer in Borno, Nigeria.
The Women Economic Empowerment Officer will support the implementation of the USAID Feed the Future Rural Resilience Activity in Borno State. The specific responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting field level technical assessments in coordination with the FSL Manager and other SC thematic areas and/or other external sector agencies.
- Developing and implementing project monthly work plans, activity plans and budgets.
- Supporting with inputs in development of high-quality concept notes and proposals.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. They will also have at least 2 years of experience working in the food security and livelihood sector.
In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and transition.
- Experience of working through systems of community participation and accountability to build ownership.
- Good working knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning approaches.
- Experience of training and capacity building staff and beneficiaries.
- Some experience of representation and ability to represent SC effectively in external coordination.
- Knowledge of institutional donors and experience of developing proposals.
- Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports.
- Excellent communication and strong influencing skills.
