The Project and Your Role:
Northeast Nigeria is currently facing a significant humanitarian crisis, with a large number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in dire need of emergency assistance. FHI 360 has been actively responding to this crisis for the past five years, and now, in preparation for a new project, they are seeking an Assistant Technical Officer, Child Protection to join their team.

Reporting to the Field Coordinator and under the technical supervision of the Senior Technical Officer- CP & PSS, your role as an Assistant Technical Officer (ATO) - Child Protection is crucial. You will be responsible for implementing child protection prevention and response activities in the assigned location. This includes providing specialized case management and psychosocial support services to children affected by abuse, violence, neglect, early forced marriages, exploitation, and other vulnerabilities. Additionally, you'll oversee the implementation of a community mobilization strategy to create an environment where children can thrive without fear of abuse or violence.

Qualifications and Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience in gender-based violence programming, child protection, and psychosocial support. Your expertise in child protection case management and prevention in humanitarian contexts is essential. Proficiency in using CPIMS (Child Protection Information Management System) and familiarity with Nigerian law enforcement systems, NGOs, and CBOs will be advantageous.
