Eid Al-Adha prayer was successfully held in the Masjid Al Haram earlier today. The prayer was led by one of the Imams of the mosque, Sheikh Bandar Baleelah.
The Sheikh, who delivered the Arafat sermon yesterday, also delivered the Eid sermon in the Holy site.
Hundreds of Muslim faithfuls gathered in the Masjid to observe the prayer whilst complying with the standing health and safety protocols.

The Eid Al-Adha Festival is very important in the life of a Muslim.
Al-Adha” refers to sacrifice, specifically the “one in which Abraham was asked – as a test – by God to sacrifice his son, only to have God intervene and substitute a ram (or lamb) instead,”. This is why Muslims are also enjoined to sacrifice animals on this day.
