"I stabbed him several times, snatched his vehicle after he offered me free ride" Soldier


According to a news that was posted by Daily Trust Newspaper yesterday night, it was alleged a military personnel, attached to the 6 Battalion in Akwa Ibom State, has been apprehended by police operatives in the state,





for allegedly killing Enobong Jimmy, after he offered him a free ride from Port Hacourt to Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom.





The soldier, simply identified as Stephen was said to have attacked and killed Jimmy before they got to their destination.





It was made known that the suspect, whose name was given as Stephen after killing his victim, reportedly dumped the corpse of the deceased by the roadside and ran away with his car.





More information given by Daily Trust Newspaper made it known that police operatives were able to arrest the military personnel, as they tracked the vehicle with the tracker installed in it, but was later released to military authorities to face the martial court coming ahead.





While the suspect was talking to newsmen, he made it known that he killed the deceased so that he will be able to snatch his car and that, he stabbed him severally and also shot him with his gun before he died.





It was also gathered that the deceased left behind a wife, two children (including a year old child) and that, he was going to visit his family members in Akwa Ibom when he assisted Stephen, who later killed him.
