Survival funds: After 25th December salary payment, many yet to get paid says beneficiaries.

It's a welcome development since the Advent and formulation of survival funds grants by the Federal Government to Nigerians to ameliorate the adverse effects of covid19 tragedy.

The Government declared support to the MSME by registering and payment of 30,000 and 50,000 to workers and directors who have adversely affected my covid19 tragedy.

After successful applications, the Government started payment in November last month, to those who are qualified for the grants. Many registered organizations were successful.

As the end of the year draws closer the beneficiaries are eager to get paid for their Christmas celebration upkeeps. 

During the Christmas day celebration, it was a surprise package to some of the beneficiaries as credit alerts started coming to their phones, many that received smiles to the banks and cash out funds to be able to complete their Christmas celebrations.

After the Christmas payments, it was a slim payment from the survival funds organizers. As of today 31st December, many who are still waiting for December salary is still at crossroads because they are yet to get paid.

Mrs. Okoro a school teacher in one of the private schools in Aba is one of those who are doubtful about her fate and many others who are yet to receive alerts. Another beneficially Emeka said that he is still hoping to get his December salary, but laments what the delay has caused him.

It's not clear what may be the reason for the selected payments to the already qualified candidates who have received November salary but failed to get December pay.

It's important to note that the Government should look into this matter to show equal treatment to all the beneficiaries.

In some sorry cases, some workers get paid and their directors were paid nothing, this has set the directors against their employees who decided not to cooperate with the management, by making claims of the money since it's paid directly into his ( employee) account, while the director who is the one suffering more than the workers and it was him that facilitated the process and registered his company and employees to the scheme, at the end of the day he gets nothing.

Survival funds managers have not made official statements on these lapses.

But no matter what we are expecting that sooner than later this matter will be resolved and others get their own Dec money.

During the recent interaction section of Vice president professor Osibanjo with the management team of the survival funds program, the Vice president called for more inclusive participation of more people into the program, in other to be able to reach out to more Nigerians who are suffering, because the Government has the capacity to do so.

It's therefore important to note that since the Government is ready to admit more beneficiaries into the program, those who have been successfully admitted must be managed properly because Federal Government has the capability to hire and manage as many as they can employ.

Let everything be put in place so as to make sure that everyone who is eligible to receive the package from the Government is duly attending to as at when due not to a selected few or half hazard.
